William E. Soteroff
Senior Vice President of International Development
In January, 2007, William E. Soteroff was named Senior Vice President of International Development at RE/MAX International. He is charged with growth of the RE/MAX organization internationally and in developing new and existing regions some of which include Australia, Asia, Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Mexico, Middle East, New Zealand, and South America.
Soteroff joined the RE/MAX network in 1993 and served as Executive Vice President and Regional Director of RE/MAX of New England where he was responsible for the growth and operation of 250 offices and over 2,500 sales associates. He was named 1996 RE/MAX International Regional Director of the Year.
In 2001, he became Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of RE/MAX Europe based in Vienna, Austria. Over the next five years led growth in the European operation to 10,000 sales associates in 44 regions and more than 1,400 franchises in 31 countries. Soteroff was again named RE/MAX International Regional Director of the Year in 2005, making him the first person to win this award twice for his service in two different regions.
Born in Canada, a graduate of the University of Western Ontario, Soteroff married Elisabeth, his University sweetheart and they have two children. He has lived in New England, Europe, and currently resides in Denver, Colorado. For over 20 years he has dedicated himself to the entrepreneurial ideal and to concepts that nurture the independent business person. He has worked for a number of national and international corporations, including franchise companies and start-ups.
