Mark Baker joined the RE/MAX organization in 1996 as a Management Consultant in the RE/MAX Central Atlantic Region in Bethesda, MD. In 1999 he was promoted to the position of Assistant Regional Director for the RE/MAX Pennsylvania and Delaware Region and was named Regional Director in 2001.
In 2002, he became Vice President and Regional Director and for a time managed both the RE/MAX Central Atlantic Region and the RE/MAX of Pennsylvania and Delaware Region. By 2004, he had been named Regional Vice President of the Central Atlantic Region and in August 2005 was promoted to Regional Executive Vice President overseeing more than 7,000 RE/MAX affiliates and 250 franchises. In December 2006, Baker was named Vice President of Regional Development and directs expansion in all company operated regions.
Two times, Baker has been named Regional Director of the Year by RE/MAX International and is the only individual in the history of the organization to be recognized twice with this prestigious award.
Prior to his career with RE/MAX, Baker served as an officer in the US Army and subsequently worked as a contractor to the federal government. He recently retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in the US Army Reserve.
He holds an MBA in Marketing/Finance from Marymount University and also earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Radford University, Radford, Virginia. He has also held the Certified Residential Broker (CRB) designation since 1999.
He enjoys spending time with his family and playing golf. Mark and his wife, Gwyn have two children.
